4. Blueberries
Next on the list of kidney-friendly berries are blueberries, high in anthocyanidin antioxidants; in addition to offering a very nutritious compound that reduces inflammation in the body, these antioxidants give blueberries their characteristic color. Vitamin C, fiber and manganese are all plentiful in blueberries as well.
You can consume blueberries dried or fresh. In moderation, blueberries make a great dessert mixed with a dab of whipped cream. They'll also add great flavor to a homemade fruit smoothie. If you're already suffering from kidney problems, however, avoid the extra sugar; just stick with blueberries to satisfy the occasional sweet cravings.
